Bridging the Gap

The 2010 Fellows have inspired me to begin my very first personal blog; yes they have that effect on people.

I figured this would be the perfect time to start as I am about to leave on a month and a half journey through East Africa, Dubai, India, Pakistan, and London to find the future architects of the social sector.

Oh and yes, I guess I should introduce myself to my readers (hopefully there will be some:). My name is Blair Emily Miller and currently I run the Acumen Fund Fellows Program. I have lived and worked all over the world (Senegal, South Korea, East Africa, India, El Salvador) and have a true wanderlust for travel and new experiences. My true passion lies in people and personal connections, particularly connections between individuals or organizations that are seemingly disparate... for that is where real innovation lies.

I entitled this blog, "Blair Emily's Mosaic" because that is how I see my life, a mosaic made up of individuals who inspire you, experiences that define you, and moments that take your breath away.

I am writing this blog to share with you these experiences with the hope that they may add to your own mosaic..
